Spain Installment: La Pedriza

The Spain trip is old news but I've finally got around to finishing another video segment. Just a little footage from La Pedriza, my favorite area in Spain. Enjoy

Downtown in Oldtown

It's getting harder and harder to find problems around Göteborg that I haven't tried. Admittedly, Göteborg is far from climbed out but I've generally had to resort to using topographical maps to scout new areas. I've had a fairly high degree of success finding new things but it can be tiring and time consuming to explore and brush every time you're out. With that in mind a group of us headed to a small area in town called Nylösen that I'd checked out a couple years back but never climbed at. Little Magnus established a fun roof there called Downtown in Oldtown and there are a couple other problems to sample. I did Downtown a couple times as it was fun roof climbing and brought me back to my roots (Hueco Tanks, Flagstaff AZ) and a boulder up the hill offered some more climbing and a pipedream on tiny crimpers that I'm convinced goes despite the blood that will flow from fingertips after two tries. Maybe next time.

New at Bro

Not much climbing lately but I still make it out a time or two. Last weekend I was in Bro and we brushed up a new wall, yielding two new problems and one project. Here are a couple pics.

Organic

Now that things are starting to settle down I've gotten all the Organic stuff figured out. About half the pads and a bit of the other gear are gone but there's still some left for those that are interested. Prices are as follows...

2200 for regular pads
4300 for big pads
500 for tote bags
325 for chalk buckets
200 for chalk bags (with belt)

Those that are interested can email me at kearneyjourney@gmail.com.

I also plan in importing more so if anyone wants specific colors on their pad, bucket, or tote let me know.

A Baby Blog

The blog has been a bit slow as adjusting to fatherhood doesn't allow for the standard 4 to 5 days a week of climbing, but believe it or not I've been sending some of the hardest products of my life. For example, "holding screaming baby in one arm while making breakfast" just went down today. The classic "cleaning up after exploding diaper" is now dialed and I can do it in my sleep (which is good because at 3 o'clock in the morning you don't actually want to be awake).

Anyway, I've got tons of footage of of these new age classics but in lieu of flooding this blog I've decided to set up a whole new one dedicated to this new undertaking. Kearney Journey will remain primarily dedicated to climbing with the occasional spattering of randomness that one has come to expect.

For those of you that wish to ogle at baby picture and hear random tidbits about life with a new born you can go here. As for those that wish to see climbing porn...stay tuned in.
